THIS SEASON: Evan Swenson, a 2016 junior, is a two-time NCAA Championships participant, a 2014 All-American as a freshman and a 2015 Pac-12 finalist as a sophomore who returns as one of Troy's top sprinters, key individually and on relays.

2015: Swenson competed individually at the NCAA Championships for the first time as a 2016 sophomore, just missing scoring with an 18th-place finish in the 100y free (48.63). She also tied for 37th in the 50y free (22.57). Swenson swam on Troy's 10th-place 200y free and medley relays as well as on the 400y free relay ... At the 2015 Pac-12 Championships, Swenson reached her first conference final, finishing eighth in the 100y free (49.27) after a PR 48.45 in prelims. She was also 10th in the 50y free (22.54) and helped USC to third in the 400y free relay and to fourth in the 200y free relay.

2014: Swenson competed at the 2014 NCAA Championships as a freshman, helping USC to eighth in the 200y free relay to earn All-American status. She also anchored USC's 'B' final win in the 200y medley relay ... At the 2014 Pac-12 Championships, she was 12th in the 50y free (22.79), 22nd in the 100y free (49.94) and 27th in the 100y breast (1:04.55) ... At the 2014 U.S. Summer Nationals, she was 40th in the 50m free (26.18).

HIGH SCHOOL: Swenson, who prepped at Loyola Academy in Chicago, was a 12-time Illinois state finalist her final three years in school with six top nine finishes, including two runner-up finishes in the 50y free. At the 2011 U.S. Junior Nationals, she tied for second in the 50m free and she competed in the event and the 100m free at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. She competed in both basketball and water polo in high school and earned 2012 Illinois All-State third team water polo honors.
