THIS SEASON: Nikki Chang, a 2016 senior, is a solid mid-to-distance freestyler looking to continue improving and break through as a conference finalist and NCAA qualifier.
2015: Chang finished a career-best 11th in the 1650y free (16:41.88) at the 2015 Pac-12 Championships as a junior. She was also 29th in the 500y free (4:56.32) and 36th in the 200y free (1:51.41).
2014: Chang competed in three events at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships as a sophomore, taking 14th in the 1650y free (16:54.27), 21st in the 200y free (1:48.71) and 28th in the 500y free (4:52.00).
2013: Chang competed in three events at the 2013 Pac-12 Championships, taking 17th in the 1650y free (16:48.06) and 26th in both the 200y (1:50.13) and 500y free (4:52.20) ... At the 2012 U.S. Winter Nationals, she was eighth in the `C' final of the 500y free (4:52.06).
HIGH SCHOOL: Chang prepped at Sonora High in La Habra, Calif., where she was fifth in the 1500m free at the 2011 Junior Nationals, won the `B' final of the 400m free and swam in the 200m free ... At the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, she was 106th in the 400m free ... She was second in the 500y free and third in the 200y free at both the 2011 and 2012 CIF Southern Section Championships.
