THIS SEASON: A 2017 sophomore, Sydney Lofquist's strength is her versatility and she looks to continue her productive dual meet and postseason scoring in a variety of events, including distance free, IM and fly.
2016: Lofquist was a three-time B finalist at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships as a freshman. She was 12th in the 500y free (4:45.01) and 14th in both the 400y IM (4:16.53) and the 200y fly (1:59.70).
HIGH SCHOOL: Lofquist, who prepped at Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio, for the past two years, won back-to-back state Division I title in the 200y IM and 500y free and won a Division 2 titles in the 200y IM as a sophomore ... She was a five-time finalist at the 2015 NCSA Junior Nationals, including a second in the 500y free ... The 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier was named the "Cincy Women Sports High School Sportswoman of the Year" by The Women in Sport Foundation.
