THIS SEASON: Katie Christy is a 2019 senior strong in the sprint free and breast and in the 200y IM. A former Georgia state champion, she provides solid depth for the Trojans though she has battled through injuries the last two years.
2018: Christy, as a 2018 junior, was again limited in the pool due to injuries.
2017: Christy saw limited action as a 2017 sophomore due to injuries.
2016: Christy swam in four events as an exhibition entry at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships, racing in the 200y and 400y IM and the 200y free and 200y back... She competed in a variety of events as a freshman and just missed NCAA B cuts with her top season times in the 200y IM (2:01.86, off by 0.27) and 400y IM (4:21.59).
HIGH SCHOOL: Christy prepped at Westminster High School in Atlanta where she was a state champion, wining twice in the 200y IM and posting a second in the 100y breast ... A prep All-American, she was a 2014 Speedo Junior National finalist in the 200m free.
CLUB : Dynamo Swim Club.
PERSONAL: She was born June 25, 1996 ... She is majoring in broadcast journalism with a double minor with sports media and screenwriting. ... Her older sister, Jamie, competed for the Trojans in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
