Biography

THIS SEASON: Diana Chang is a skilled backstroker from Ecuador who has improved each year at USC and should carve out a bigger role as a 2016 junior.

2015: Chang, as a 2015 sophomore, turned in career-best efforts at the Pac-12 Championships, taking 13th in the 100y back (54.98) and 29th in the 200y back (2:01.06).

2014: Chang raced in two events as a freshman at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships, finishing 26th in the 100y back (56.07) and 32nd in the 200y back (2:04.49).

ECUADOR: Chang has competed for Ecuador's national team as a backstroker at the 2010 Youth Olympics and the 2009 FINA World Championships. She was a two-time bronze medalist at the South American Championships. She owns Ecuador's national records in the 50m and 100m back.

PERSONAL: She is majoring in international relations.
